Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities. Focuses performance to ensure the safest and best possible patient experience. Works independently with minimal supervision and manages projects. Delivers exceptional service to all customers. Delivers service that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five to eight years of minimum experience required. Eight to ten years of experience preferred.
- Experience with healthcare technology management programs
- ACI Certification Required (CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM). Effective January 11, 2018, new hires must obtain ACI certification within 12 months of date of hire and maintain certification thereafter.
- If candidate is not certified by 12/31/2018, employee is subject to a downgrade to MSER level I.
- Must possess skill-set of advanced modality HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology, real-time location systems, alarm management middleware or high-end biomedical devices such as device integration/networking, catheterization lab/electrophysiology monitoring systems
- Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc…)
- Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
- Project Management experience.
- Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products
- Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
- Travel will be required periodically
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
- Associates Degree or 2 year Technical Degree Required
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
